“The wind chill was in the single digits and many of the streets were a slushy mess, so yesterday seemed like a perfect day to ride a bike to work didn’t it?

OK, so probably not, but that didn’t stop people from in participating in Winter Bike To Work Day yesterday.

There was a little bonus for the people that did decide to join in and ride over to Daley Plaza. Organizers were handing out coffee and cheesecake to the bike riders. (I’m not sure that even that would’ve gotten me on a bike and riding outside in yesterday’s temps though!)

The people behind Winter Bike To Work Day say they were happy with the turnout but admitted that the numbers were a little off from recent years because of yesterday’s wacky weather.

    que diferença, quanto desigualdade! Uns escondidos numa lata e protegidos por quatro rodas, outros, que não ofendem ao meio ambiente e ao mesmo tempo estão fazendo o seu exercício corporal, indefesos em cima de duas rodas. É o consumismo automobolístico.
